Regardless of what they're saying, I still want one. I don't really <em>need</em> it to run my own apps, but I'm sure there will be some hacking that will take place post-release. As for the price, I've been wanting to get another digital organizer that I can sync with my calendar, read email and browse the web on, but I haven't found one that I like. By June, my current phone will be ready to be replaced (the screen is becoming less and less readable and the phone's audio isn't half as good as when I bought it) so I would normally be dropping about $200 on a phone and if I want to get an organizer, I'll probably drop about that on one. That's about $400 already, so for convenience of having both in one package, the extra $99 is worth it. There are three problems for me... price (which is insane), the fact that it's only available via Cingular (you couldn't drag me kicking and screaming away from Verizon), and it's a totally closed system (sure it's OS X... but if i can't run any of my own apps on it... what's the use?).
