From Horrible to Awesome

Isn't it funny how awesome people can make a horrible day better?

I was fellin' pretty bad after riding the ZTR mower all day around ridges 1, 2, and 3 mowing campsites when I walked into the IC here on campus. Sat down at a computer, started checkin the e-mail. I had nothing good, really, just the usual crap.

Then I signed onto AIM. Almost as soon as I signed on, I messaged Jess. She and I talked for the whole time I was in the IC. I also started talking with John and Luke, and Emma for a little bit.

While I was chillin, chattin, reading blogs, Erin called me! Hearing her voice, no matter what time of day, puts me in a better mood. It doesn't matter what she is talking to me about, just talking to her, and listening makes me happy. She and I talked about our interesting days, then I had to let her go because I locked my computer and risked getting it restarted… Stoopid policies :-P

Anyway, long story short, My day on the ZTR was fun, but the after effects (we'll call it the 'hangover') were horrible. Five awesome people made my day awesome!

I have some of the best friends in the world.

I'm looking for suggestions for the end of the week slideshow, comment them up!

Hero of the Day – Besides the obvious choice (Erin, cause she's always my hero and I love her very much :) ), it's Jess. She and I don't get to talk often, and rarely do we get to hang out, but when we do, it's always good times. She's one of my most awesome friends, and I don't get to spend half the time chillin with her that I would like.

Quote of the Day – "if my left foot is sitting at the right angle to reflect the sunlight from china into the glass of water sitting on my desk…" – Me, talking about how to get the internet connection at camp to work.

Current Mood – Excited because there are only a few weeks until camp starts :)

Until the next post…
Keep on Truckin'!

SUMMER!

WAHOO! Summer is finally here!

I haven't blogged recently because I've been too busy chillin outside in the wonderful weather.

It's about time we have the nice weather that I've been waiting on all winter. I was beginning to get really depressed.

In other news, Warner Brothers' Records is slashing CD prices from ~$18 to ~$10 on most titles. Finally, the big record lables are realizing that they've been over pricing their records for a while now. Let's all hope that retailers don't just take that price slash to increase their profits… That's exactly what happened last time lables reduced their prices. Stupid big business…

Alright, I gotta run. I'm moving out to camp this evening, so I've gotta get packing. Don't expect too many bloggings from me until the end of the summer. Hopefully I'll get the chance to update twice a week or so.

Check the Photoblog for weekly photo galleries.

peace out!

RE: We need to talk…

Steph, since you aren't able to stay online long enough to have any sort of conversation, here's what's up.

I'm not pissed about your comment, I'm over that, I have been since I figured out it was you. I thought it was you as soon as I read the e-mail and saw the sub-domain name.

What I'm pissed about is that you don't have the balls to attach your name to your opinions. To me, and most respectable people, that is unacceptable. You disserve every bit of ridicule that you've received about that. You probably disserve more, but this is not the place or time.

I'm also pissed that you chose to pose as a good friend of mine. That pisses me off more than anything else that you've done, and I won't tolerate it on my site. You can disagree with my opinions, post your own in the comment box all you want, but as soon as you pose as someone else, or comment anonymously, you will recieve what you disserve. For these reasons, your name and e-mail address have been edited into your comment on the post Age check!.

Before you open your mouth next time, I encourage you to ask yourself Do I believe strongly enough in this to post it as myself? and Do I have the will to defend what I say against the scrutiny that is sure to come from making my opinions known in a public forum?

If either of those questions is answered with a no, then you should not even post your idea, it's not worth anybody's time. This is why, long ago, I made it known that if you comment anonymously, you will become the subject of discussion.

As for the IP address, it stays. Nobody can cause your computer any harm by it being made known to the public as long as you have done what you need to to keep it secure (i.e. latest windows updates installed, latest virus definitions installed, realtime virus protection). Shit, you broadcast it every time you hit a website, send an e-mail, make a comment on a message board, etc. whether you know it or not. If anyone tries to do anything to your machine, I will pursue them with the same vigor that I pursued you.

Since you have made an attempt to contact me, no matter how feeble, I have given you and your whole sorority house the ability to comment on my blog again, now that you understand the rules.

As for the rest of you, the same rules apply. All I ask is that if you have an opinion about what I write, say or do, you stand up for what you believe. You defend your posts and your opinions against scrutiny by others with real, hard evidence and backing. That is all. In reality it is a pretty simple request; stand up for what you believe, defend your beliefs.

And above all, talk to me. If you don't have the balls to talk to me, then what you think does not matter. Plain and simple.

Current Mood – Still laughing at stupid people, there are too many of them in this world. They make my day every day.

Hypocrisy? I think so!

Ok, let me get this straight. You don't have the balls to confront me about something to my face, yet you have the gall to say "either come talk to me or get over it"? Talk about your double standard.

You don't disserve my breath! I'm not going to extend the same courteseys to you that you have not extended to me! That's ludacris! There's a name for people like you in the dictionary, under H.

YOU GUESSED IT!

Hypocrite:
Middle English ipocrite, from Old French, from Late Latin hypocrita, from Greek hupocrits, actor, from hupokrnesthai, to play a part, pretend. See hypocrisy.

n. a person who professes beliefs and opinions that they do not hold.

Yep, that's you alright. You've proved it to me here more than you ever have before, and for that, I applaud you. Good job, ace.

Wow, I thought you had stooped low, you've surprised me yet again. Lower than the low, that's what you are, lower than the low.

Current Mood – Laughing at stupid people.

HAHAHAHAHA You crack me up.

I love when people block you, they think you can't keep tabs on them. Let me introduce you all to the law of AOL screen names.

The Law of Screen Names
For every known screen name (n) there exists at least one other screen name. Therefore the number of known screen names (K) is always less than or equal to the number of known screen names (n) plus 1.

K <= n + 1

Good job ace.

Not to mention you tied an old friend of yours to your blind-to-reality comment probably without even thinking. That makes me sick. Sick not because you did it without thinking, sick because you are using your imagined reality to try to turn me against someone I have grown to trust over the last semester. Do you really think that she and I don't talk? Honestly

It is disgusting that you could use the identity of someone else to bring them down to your own level. Maybe you should open your closed eyes and take a look around at people who you thought were your friends.

Current Mood – Devious
