How about women's suffrage? This situation is no different than those. This is an entire group of people being discriminated against by a government that stands violently against discrimination. Not to mention that they are being discriminated against on religious grounds by a government who is bound by the constitution not to establish a state religion. These "law-makers" are trying to force the entire nation to believe what they, the old, right-winged politicians in office now, believe.
