Woo!It’s been a while since

Woo!

It's been a while since I've posted, so here's the update.

Tuesday was good. I went to class, went to hundred, which was a good time, and then to work. Work was decent, but very very dead. That's the extent of my Wednesday as well.

Thursday I went to class like normal, only in class, all we did was take apart a computer. I have done this so many times that I was bored off my mind. I was trying my hardest to keep awake. We all had to bring a floppy disk to take apart, which ended up being my idle time activity to keep me awake. After that class, I went home to mow the grass. This turned out being quite interesting because sometime over the summer, some bees made their home in a hole in our front yard. I got stung a few times before I figured out what was going on. I'm going to kill them all, esp because Neil is allergic and it's not a good idea to have them around him. After hundred, I went home, took a nap, then started cooking dinner. Neil finished it because I needed a shower. After dinner, Tony, Ryan and I went to the Bird and listened to the Pat McGee band. They were openers for Dave Matthews on one of his more recent tours. It was a $10 cover, but it was worth it because you can see these guys in concert for $40 when they tour. That's the extent of my Thursday.

Friday has been interesting so far, but productive. I washed the dishes and am in the process of doing my laundry. I even cleaned up the floor of my room before I trashed it again looking for my headphones :) . Tonight is going to be a good time. Toga party at 322! After hundred, I'm going to nashville to meet my mother to get my good trumpet back. It's been gone for almost two weeks now and I'm sick and tired of playing a piece…

Anyway, I'm going to get back to some studying before my I303 quiz. I will post again later, after this weekend's festivities…

What I see out my window…
Trees… Lots of trees… I'm in the Information Commons again. I seem to spend all my idle time here. It's a beautiful day, hopefully a precursor to this evening… a beautiful evening :) . This weekend is shaping up to be nice too, besides the chance of rain on Saturday. Anyway, I still don't have my web cam working, but it should be soon. I have the software for it now.

…Graveyard Randomness…

I'm now glad that I work the graveyard shift. It was definitely a wonderful suprise that Kirstee IMed me. She definitely made my graveyard shift worth working. I hope that I get to talk to her every week, that would be awesome! I didn't realize how much I missed having her around to talk to until she's on the other side of the globe with a seven hour time difference…

The network is so slow this evening, so trying to do anything online is painful. Everything needs to be refreshed over and over… I've lost my shift report twice now… Thank God for Copy Paste :) That's all I'll say about that.

So… do you think they got the fattest man they could find to do this job? Maybe that's because they needed to add as much weight to the roller as they could. Or maybe this is the owner of astroplay… This must be the only job that he can do well because he's so fat.

This is what happens when Tom gets bored…

Lake Fun!Saturday was one of

Lake Fun!

Saturday was one of the most fun days that I've had in a while.

I had to get up earlier than I wanted to Sat morning because my mom came down to get my truck so that she could have it fixed. I definitely do not enjoy driving her car. It's way too touchy on the gas and it's brakes hardly work. I'm more afraid to drive it than I am to drive a falling apart old clunker.

Anyway, Sat was the KKPsi Day at the lake. It was great. There were 12 of us that ended up going out there. We got to our shelter, had some lunch, hung out a bit then decided to get a boat. Rosemary and I went down to the boat hut to see what they had. It ended up that the double decker party boat with slide was only going to run us $20 a person. That, my friends, made my day. We spent the whole afternoon out on the lake jumping off the boat, swimming, and having a grand time. When I got home, I had so much work waiting on me that I ended up falling asleep at my computer sometime between midnight and two…

Sunday was a normal Sunday… woke up around 11, did some homework, went to bed, woke up at ten to get ready for work, made it to work… and here I am now… Not too exciting, I know. I'll post again tomorrow after the marathon kkpsi meeting.

What I see out my window…
Well, my window right now it black outside…completely black. I'm in the IC so all I could see is the SPEA and Business schools if it wasn't dark. Tomorrow should be nice, which is hopefully a precursor to how the Psi meeting will go… nicely. I'm really looking forward to tomorrow night and hopefully so is the rest of the chapter.

ARGH!I haven’t had much to

ARGH!

I haven't had much to rant about lately, so here it goes!

People are really starting to piss me off! My I303 professor is the biggest SPOONER on the face of the earth! He can't figure out how to get a projector into the classroom. It's not that hard numbnuts! Contact Instructional Support Services! They're in charge of all of that stuff… Secondly, he complains about everything… my response to that… LEARN THE SYSTEM OR GET OUT! Figure it out man, it's not that difficult! This guy is from england…so he speaks like he's got a pole up his ass… He might as well have one. Just because things are not what he's used to in england doesn't mean that he should complain about them until he's blue in the face! Learn the system, learn how to function in it, and deal with it. It's not that hard. If you're not going to be a part of the solution, you are the problem… not just a part of the problem, you ARE the problem!

Anyway, I'm done for now… Classes are going well, since it is the end of the first week and all. I have some really good professors and only one that is already on my last nerves. I would drop the class, but I don't really want to stick around for any more extra semesters than I have to.

New with Tom… I got into a fender bender with my new truck. It was raining, my truck bed was loaded with stuff. I tried to stop, but I slid on the wet pavement and bumped a guy. I have to go today and get the paperwork so that I can give it to my mother tomorrow when she comes to get the truck to have it repaired. I've also been adjusting to the new support positions at UITS. Instead of having OSSs and CSSs as the support team, now there is one support group that does all the support jobs. We're responsible for all of the OSS tasks, CSS tasks as well as training the consultants. It's a pretty sweet gig and I'm getting paid $10.50 an hour now ($11 on the graveyard ;-) ) so I'm not going to complain much. It's also nice to do something different each day at work. It breaks up the monotony.

That's about all I have time to post about now. I will start posting quite frequently now that I'm at school and when I'm at work I have not much else to do.

What I see out my window…
I can't show you because my quick cam isn't working because my new desktop doesn't have USB drivers yet…
