Heres to the crazy ones
The misfits
The rebels
The troublemakers
The roundpegs in the square holes
The ones who see things differently
They arent fond of rules
And they have no respect for the status quo
You can quote them
Disagree with them
Glorify or Villify them
But the only thing you can't do is ignore them
Because they change things
They push the human race forward
And while some may see them as the crazy ones,we see genius
Because the people who are crazy enough to believe they can change the world, are the ones who do
Think Different.

The Big Push… Why am

The Big Push…

Why am I so busy the day before an away trip?

It's like the flood gates of busy-ness opened and drowned me with stuff.

As you can figure, today is the day before the Marching Hundred leaves to go to Michigan. I'm very excited about this trip, i can't wait. I was one of the lucky folks to have their name drawn to have my own bed. This is definitely a plus. I knew rooming with the drum major would have it's perks.

Anyway, here's how my day has been so far. I skipped my BUS S302 class because I needed some extra time to study for my Molecular exam. So I studied for that until it was time for me to leave to go to my Genetics exam. I did really well on this one, I believe. The only thing I didn't quite understand/remember was how to do a Chi Squared analysis of a test cross to determine if the two traits were linked or unlinked. Hopefully what I did is what I was supposed to do.

Then came the Molecular. I did ok on this one. I could have done better had I had more time to study. I would say I got most of the questions right. I was a little confused when it came to the secondary structure of protiens and how to determine, using thermal denaturization, the Cytosine and Guanine content of a newly found bacteria's genetic code. I'll still get a B on the exam overall though.

Now, I'm at work. Apparently I didn't completely understand the Trainer Troubleshooter roll at the begining of the semester. Now that I do, I'll be tearing up campus, getting things done. All it took was someone to sit down with me and explain it so I would understand. I missed all the summer staff meetings because I was working at camp, which put me behind when I got here. I would say that I have adjusted well without being told what to do.

After work… Marching Hundred… we all know how this goes… ching-bow.

Then CLIMBING!! I'm excited. Chris and I (and maybe Mike) are going to head out to Hoosier Heights today after band rehearsal. I'm psyched! I haven't been climbing (except the random walls and poles around hundred hall) since this summer! Hopefully I will get to see Robbie at the gym since I haven't talked to him since he left for Montana. I'm looking forward to a good time.

The Bro's and PM's of KKPsi are going to be coming over to my place to watch Must See TV Thursdays tonight. This should be a good time because it's an UNOFFICIAL (meaning unsanctioned by KKPsi, we are all just part of the fraternity) start to the away trip weekend. After the gathering, some of us have been throwing around the idea of heading out to the bars. We'll see what actually happens when that time comes though.

Then packing time, sleep and Michigan!

I don't really know when I am going to relax today. I need to get some sleep because I have a shitload of homework to get done on the bus on the way to MI.

On a totally unrelated note, I will be making it so that the only way you can get to my blog is to click on the link in my AIM profile. This will make it so that the only people who read it, are the people I want to read it. It's primitive, but it will work. It will be a simple redirect that you can only follow from the link in my profile.

That's all I got for now. Here's the end-of-the-blog rundown!

Busy WeeksWell, I thought I

Busy Weeks

Well, I thought I would have a lot of time to post, but I guess I was wrong.

Anyway, my last week was extremely busy. Between classes, work and hundred, I had little to no time to relax. Wednesday I ended up going out to dinner with Emma again after I got off work at 10:00pm. We hit up the Steak 'n' Shake :) . It was good times. I didn't really do anything on Thursday besides go to class, work, hundred, and then cook dinner. I went to bed early that night so I could get up early and head to my Friday classes. I went to all my non-hundred classes on Friday, but I skipped band. Ryan's parents brought down their ski boat from Cicero so Tony, Ryan and I skipped out on band to go out with his parents. It was a great time. We went over to the Rope Swing in Allen's Creek Cove and then went tubing out on the main part of the lake. Ryan and Tony went tandem tubing the whole time. They were bouncing around, getting water splashed in their eyes and then, ultimately, they fell on top of each other and then were ready to head in.

Saturday was the raping of IU Football by KY Football. If we lost that bad to KY, there's no way that we will end on a winning season. Oh well though. So the cookie crumbles. I always look forward to basketball season because then there are actually winning teams that play. After the game, Ryan's and Mike's parents took the gang out to dinner at Asuka Japanese Steak House for some Hibatchi Style food. It was a great time. I will definitely be taking a date there sometime in the near future, but who will the lady be? That is still to be determined.

Sunday… Stadium Clean-up… blah. After the clean up, I studied Molecular Bio for three hours, then went to sleep for the graveyard, which is where I am now. As usual, I got to talk to Kirstee, which was a great pleasure as always. I can't wait till next semester when she gets back so we can hang out a bit and chill. Plus I will get to hear all of her stories about Italy and I'm sure she'll have pictures.

Anyway, the graveyard has been pretty boring so far, not much going on.

I'm going to change the What I see out my window… section to Picture of the day. Here's the first one…

The welcoming committee for Hurricane Isabel. These guys were caught on tape running away from the hurricane. What is on the end of that road sign? Is it a baseball base? Maybe he's worried that he won't be safe, or maybe he's just stealing a base… Whatever…

Weekend UpdateHere’s what happened during

Weekend Update

Here's what happened during my extremely busy weekend.

Friday…
Toga! Toga! Toga! Toga! Toga party at 322! This was a blast! We all made some togas, went to 322, danced, drank, and otherwise had a good ole time. It was a pre-IU-victory party and it was an awesome way to do it. Props to the guys (and gals) of 322 for hosting.

Saturday…
Marathon at the stadium day. It was Band Day 2003… woo…
The "game sequence" started on an awesome note with powerplay. It was a good time and everyone seemed to enjoy it. When we got into the stadium, things started going wrong. Coach DiNardo kept the team on the field ten minutes more than they were supposed to be out there. With Opening Day festivities, there wasn't an extra ten minutes for him to be out there. The Indiana State University Marching Sycamores (yes, the Sycamores… how they can fight and/or march is unknown to me) were able to perform their pre-game show; however, the Hundred wasn't so lucky. Our show got cut to the last formation, Star Spangled Banner, and then IOI and off the field. Yea… needless to say, most everyone was pissed… The game had a favorable outcome, IU won. Probably the only game that we will win this season, but whatever.

That night, some of us went to Beth's and watched Super Troopers. We ordered a pizza and ate dinner, watched a movie/napped and then went home so we could get a whole four hours of sleep.

Sunday…
Bright and Early… 7:00am, stadium clean-up… Not so much fun really. We were able to get it done earlier than usual, but it still wasn't too much fun. After the clean-up, we went to Denny's. That was a good time. The rest of the day was full of sleeping and sleeping. I didn't have to work the Monday morning graveyard this week because Scott took it from me as a sub. I will have to work it next week, though, which means that I will be extremely exhausted when it comes to the KKPsi meeting that evening.

Monday…
Nothing fun really, just class, Psi meeting and a good time at Steak 'n' Shake.

That brings us to Today, when I woke up late for class, had to run to the business school, sit in class, came home, took a nap, ate breakfast, played some Quake III… that's about it. I've still got Hundred and work this evening.

That's all I got for now…

What I see out my window
It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood, a beautiful day for a neighbor… Won't you be mine :)
