Little 500What a week. all

Little 500

What a week.

all good things must come to an end…sniffle, sniffle…

What a way to end a freakin awesome week/weekend.

We hosted some brothers last weekend from Miami of Ohio, the Epsilon Xi chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi. They were really cool people, I hope they had as good a time over the weekend as I did. Friday night started it all off. We went to a party at 322 and had some beer and beer pong, cups (formerly known as flippy cup) and just had a good time. Saturday morning started with kegs and eggos, way good times there. I ended up getting back to my place around 5:00 that evening. I had planned on going to the race, but we were at Bear's for lunch for way too long. I missed the start so I decided not to go to the rest of the race. That night, I was the Designated Driver for some people who were at 322 with us. We went to the Bluebird (a.k.a. the Bird) and listened to Jimmy Ray (a local band). They're really good, I've heard them around town many many times.

Last night, The KKDC minus Tony and Nick went out again to Nick's played some more sink the biz. Then we went to Yogi's (where Tony meets up with us) to have some $2.75 premium beers. yay for Upland brews :) . Last night after I got home, I talked to Allison for almost two hours. We haven't talked for a year, so we had a lot of catching up to do. We talked about high school, then college, then a lot of other really random stuff. She's coming down sometime next week, so I hope she and I get to hang out one evening. I miss that girl.

Anyway, I need to be getting back to work. I will post more sometime later.

What's out my window…
I'll let you know tomorrow morning ;)

Mac Fund $340.04 – I'm getting there, but slowly. This summer this number should change a lot.

serve it up to the KKDC

I have found my callingI

I have found my calling

I am going to work for "Bloomington Confidential Document Destruction!

I was walking to campus today and saw this truck parked outside one of the fraternity houses. I was thinking…hmmm, wonder what kind of clients they have. I really hope they don't have clients like doctor's offices or banks or something like that.

PS, the title of this post is sarcasm…

Last night was a good time. We took Angela to Nick's and played some Sink the Biz, and then headed to Sports where the KKDC sang I Like Big Butts for karoke night. What a good time it was. We all found our way next door to Taco Bell at about 2:00 this morning. Angela had a good time, and so did Tony. Again, he was so wasted that he didn't know what was going on. He was sinking the biz on purpose and taking full advantage of the shot glass that somehow ended up around his neck on a shoestring at Sports.

That's all that's happened recently. I really hope someone is taping The West Wing tonight and will let me watch it with them. It's going to be a good one. I also have a paper that I need to write by tomorrow. If I don't, my persuasion group will be really mad at me because I've missed the last two classes.

What I see out my window…

This was yesterday. As you can see, it looks a lot like Monday. Tuesday was a much better day than monday though. I was guessing that it would be just as taxing and tireing as Monday was, but it wasn't. I went to class, yes actually went to class, and did some swimming between my morning and afternoon classes. I'm getting lazy with my working out. I think it's because the beach is still on the corner.

This is today. Blue skies, warm weather, sun. Who could ask for a better day?… I could. I have so much stuff that I need to do today that I really don't have time to go to work, but I have to. Hopefully I can get some writing done at work today. Speaking of which, I need to get back to my consultant observations.

Song of the day Toxicity – System of a Down

Quote of the day "I like it when I'm part of the 'quote of the day'" – Shelley in a text message from my website

SECOND Quote of the day "It's that time of year again; mating season for the greek population. Observe in wonder as they do their drunken stumble dance to attract a mate. As part of the ritual, the frat boy will use alcohol to lure in his prey, and the sorostitute will show her rediness to mate with the shortness of her skirt and amount of makeup. The boys will also display their coveted letters to scare off other possible suitors. Once the match is made, they make their way to the nearest bathroom stall or bunkbed with a sheet draped as a curtain, and complete the act. Of course, in the morning the boy will bail and the girl will be left wondering what exactly happened becuase neither one will really know what has happened. Then they will drink and repeat with a new prospect. It really is an amazing look at human nature! I just love Little 500 week." — Ryan Heath

Mac fund $314.41 – This should change some this weekend. I get paid on Thursday, but have to pay the water bill and for banquet.

later y'all

Happy Belated Easter!I was planning

Happy Belated Easter!

I was planning on posting yesterday, but I ended up not having time.

Anyway, my last few days have been interesting. Wednesday I worked…and worked… While I was on my way from Lindley Hall back to the Business area, walking with Casey, I happened upon an instance of instant karma. We were waiting to cross 10th street from the Arboretum side to the Business School side. This car comes flying up toward the library and throws a cup containing some water out the window at Casey and I. The cup landed on the ground right before us, slightly spraying our legs with whatever was in the cup. Imediately after they drove by laughing, we hear brakes screeching and a crash. They totally rear-ended the car in front of them. They had to have totalled their car, the hood was crumpled all the way back past where the axle would be. That's my story of instant karma. On Thursday, I went to see Anger Management Thursday night. It's a good movie. Funny, yet not stupid funny. Friday I worked all day, until 4 and then went out to camp to help Dustin build some computers. Matt took us all to Olive Garden afterward for dinner. After that, I went to Angela's for some birthday fun. We're all going to go out Tuesday evening with her to play some Sink the Biz. Saturday I worked from noon to four and then went to play some disc golf. Neil beat me for the first time since I introduced the game to he and Ryan at the begining of this academic year. Sunday I was at home for Easter with the fam. We went up north to Hartford City. That was good times. I got to see my little cousins and play some games with them. Today I will be extremely busy. I work from 2:00 – 8:00 and then I have the Psi chapter meeting at 8:45. After which I will be finishing math homework and writing a two page paper draft for my writing class. That's all I got for a summary of my days for now. More later.

Comments are broken because squak box got hacked into. Their apache server is throwing exceptions left and right. Hopefully the problem will be repaired soon. Until then, comment upon my posts in the messageboard on my site. There will be a group set up called Blog Comments and each blog entry will have it's own section. Go here and comment on the blogs.

What I see out my window…

Today I'm seeing gray skies. It's telling me that today is going to be dreary and unexciting. The mail man is delivering our mail as we speak, hopefully it will bring something other than bills, some good news would be nice. Like maybe, "Tom has won one million dollars." or something like that. Highly unlikely.
People are driving like idiots today. Pebble Beach on the corner isn't helping matters. I've seen two almost accidents on my corner this morning. I wish the city would clean up the beach, there is no ocean front property in Bloomington, but our corner looks as if it could be sold for millions of dollars.

$2 Cheeseburger DayAnd I missed

$2 Cheeseburger Day

And I missed it…oh well. There's always next week.

The day I miss $2 Cheeseburger Day, everyone is talking about it. I stopped by Lindley Hall to check my e-mail before class and sitechk Andy tells me that Jacob is out at $2 Cheeseburger Day. So, saddened by my discovery, I headed to Swain West for my class and there is a random guy outside smoking (everyone on campus smokes, mind you) is talking about $2 Cheeseburger Day. I don't have a problem with people smoking, but I have noticed that there are many, many people on campus who do smoke.

You may be asking "what is $2 Cheeseburger Day?" Well, it is every Tuesday at Kilroy's. Cheeseburgers are $2 until close. It's only one of the best days of the week.

Anyway, today has been really slow. I have gone to all my classes and done some homework. I'm pretty much done for the day because I don't have to work Tuesday nights anymore.

I am so ready for this semester to be over so I can get away from school stuff. I have a debate project due Thursday that I need to finish today, a Java exam that needs to be studied for, a Java project that's due in a couple days and I don't feel like doing any of it. I was going to go swim this afternoon, but the warm weather made me want to stay outside and do nothing instead of swimming. If there was an outdoor pool where you could swim laps somewhere in Bloomington, I would definitely take advantage of it…but I don't know of one that's already open.

If you know where I can get an image of the ROM form a TI-85 calculator, let me know. I downloaded an emulator for it yesterday and I need an image of the ROM so I can use it. An image in the sense of an ISO file not an image as a picture. Speaking of pictures, I am in the process of adding all my Boston pics and my Iowa pics to my web page. Check out my page's photo gallery for more stuff. I don't take pictures that often, so if you have some of me that you think would be nice for the gallery, send them to me. I'm also going to add a "Tom at Camp" section full of pictures taken of me last summer at camp. I'll let you know when that's all up and working.

Anyway, I'm outta here.
